Kettle does not turn on

Solutions:
Ensure kettle is securely placed on the power base, verify the power base is plugged into a working outlet, and check the outlet's circuit breaker.
Kettle heated with no water inside
Kettle was operated without sufficient water
Solutions:
Remove kettle from power base, fill with at least 2 cups water, then return to power base. The kettle will resume working once the internal temperature drops to a safe level.
Kettle not heating
Kettle does not heat up when turned on
Solutions:
Remove kettle from power base, fill with at least 2 cups of water, and return to power base.
Mineral deposits inside kettle
White residue or scale build-up is visible inside the kettle
Solutions:
Fill kettle with 6 cups water and 3 tablespoons baking soda/1 cup white vinegar/1/2 cup lemon juice, boil, soak overnight, rinse, and repeat if needed. Use distilled water to prevent future build-up.
Water boiling, but kettle does not turn off
Kettle continues to boil without automatically shutting off
Solutions:
Allow kettle to cool, then check that the lid is properly locked into place.
